The Major Oak is a huge oak tree near the village of Edwinstowe in the heart of Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire, England. According to local folklore, it was Robin Hood's shelter where he and his merry men slept. It weighs an estimated 23 tons, has a girth of 33 feet (10 metres), and is about 800–1000 years old. In June 2002, the Tree Council designated the Major Oak one of fifty Great British Trees in recognition of its place in the national heritage.

National Park Low Tatras - Slovakia - Demänovská Dolina
The National Park Low Tatras territory and its protection zone are divided to logic valley sections related to sectors of patrols. A particular employee of NAPANT in the position of "a patrolman/guard/ranger" is in charge of one sector. Recently there are 174 taxons of preserved plants occurring in the territory of the National Park Low Tatras, 138 out of them belong to vascular plants /tracheophytes/, 7 belong to nonvascular plans /bryophytes/, 9 to lichens and 20 to fungi. National Park Risnjak - Croatia - Delnice

Nationpark Harz - Germany - Ilsenburg
The Harz National Park stretches from the low mountain range near Herzberg in the southern part of the mountains, across the Harz massif to its northern slopes near Bad Harzburg and Ilsenburg.
