The E9 European long distance path or E9 path, also the European Coastal Path (French: Sentier Européen du Littoral), is one of the European long-distance paths, running for 5000 km (3125 miles) from Cabo de São Vicente in Portugal to Narva-Jõesuu in Estonia.

Forest Nature Reserve Brigels - Switzerland - Breil/Brigels
The wald reserve Scatlè close to Brigles is a true jungle (more than 300 years with no logging activities). Mostly thank to the difficult terrain, and the inaccessibility of the area. In fact,  the name of "Scatlè" means "nested". The reserve can be reached on foot from Brigels (45 min).
Forest Reserve Josenwald - Switzerland - Quarten
The reserve Josenwald is 86 hectares large forest and extends on the steep north side of Lake Walen 420-1300 meters above sea level. At lower altitude oaks dominate, beeches in the middle and at upper altitudes beech and fir trees. Data from 1880 show that the forest at that time had only a few trees at the age of 20 to 40 years. The growing stock per hectare was only about 50 cubic meters. This suggests that the forest was strongly used despite of the difficulties to access it in the 19th Century.
Forest reserve Mettlenrein-Höchi - Switzerland - Wynau
The heart of the reserve of a total  area of 72 hectares is the 12 hectares zone totally abandoned since 1994. The anthropogenic traces are disappearing fast tracks used for by forestry workers have already been taken back by nature.
The Pinail site supports numerous "Green Days" aiming at sensibilising partners to the Heathland's high biological value (as well as historical and cultural values) together with its necessary specifically adapted management. Such days are organised for students groups, National Forestry Office technical teams, regional representants of Ministry of the Environment, Regional Centre of Forest Property. This is a Natura 2000 site.
Four Spring Path - Switzerland - Tujetsch
This trail leads you to four famous springs: Rhine, Ticino, Reuss and Rhone. With a lenght of 85 km it can be done in 5 days, the trail is not very demanding but due to its high elevation the ideal hiking season is june to september. Access and starting point is the Oberalp Pass (train stop) and the end point the Furka pass.

Gajna - Croatia - Oprisavci
Flooded area between the Sava River and the dike eastern of Slavonski Brod, near the village Oprisavci. Extensive wet grasslands, old oxbows with rich water and marsh vegetation and a number of temporary ponds left after the flood represent the value of this area. The biggest pond Velika Gajna has 5 ha and is important site for Marsilea quadrifolia. Grasslands are used for cattle, although their number has recently significantly decreased. Galicica National Park encloses area of 25 000 ha. Lowest elevation in the park is Lake Ohrid (695m above sea level), next Lake Prespa (850m a.s.l.), and the highest point is the summit Magaro (2255m a.s.l.). The Geltsdale reserve is within the North Pennines SPA and the candidate SAC, and the Geltsdale and Glendue Fells SSSI and forms part of the North Pennines AONB. Blanket bog vegetation communities (NVC communities MG17/MG19) dominate the high moorland grading into dry heather, grassland communities and agricultural pastures on the lower slopes. Relict deciduous woodland pasture exists on the reserve with its own characteristic bird assemblage and wildlife interest. Natura 2000 site.
Gemenc forest - Hungary - Szekszárd
This Natura 2000 site is about 12km (7mi.) east of Szekszárd the Gemenc Forest, 500sq.km (193sq.mi.) of protected countryside, stretches along the right bank of the Danube. The unspoiled meadowland with dead river tributaries provides a habitat for many rare species such as the river eagle and the black stork. The reserve is only accessible from Gemenc (bus to Szekszárd) by narrow gauge railroad or boat.

Gölcük Natural Park - Turkey - Isparta
The landscape is known for its volcanic cones, as well as its flora and fauna. In 1994, the borders were reduced to 4720 hectares, but following objections by the public, the full area of 6684 hectares was reinstated as a natural park. Grazute Regional Park - Lithuania - Zarasai

Gredetschtal - Switzerland - Mund
